A Distinctive Setting at Liverpool's Pier Head

Hilton Spence Family Law Logos-01_edited.png

Hilton Spence Family Law is based in the iconic Port of Liverpool Building, one of the city's Three Graces, overlooking Liverpool's historic waterfront.

Our office combines the building's Edwardian character and original period features with a modern, thoughtfully designed space. Natural light fills the suite, with views towards the former White Star Line headquarters at 30 James Street, Mann Island and the Royal Albert Dock.

Inside, you'll find a calm, welcoming setting with the privacy needed for personal conversations. Our dedicated meeting room is separate from the main office, with no shared reception or open-plan waiting area, giving you somewhere discreet to discuss your circumstances.

Whether you're considering divorce, facing complex financial decisions or making arrangements for your children, our experienced family law solicitors are here to listen, understand your position and provide clear, practical advice.

The Hilton Spence Promise

Unlike other firms, there's no criteria for you to jump through to ‘qualify’ for our help. We are a premium, high-level family law firm who will welcome you as a client to our fabulous office at the Port of Liverpool Building.

We are here to guide your next chapter!

Our Liverpool Office

What began as the Hilton Spence Boardroom has grown into a fully functioning office, providing a base for our team, client meetings and conferences, alongside our Heswall office.

The Pier Head location also provides somewhere to meet with us before a court hearing, giving you the opportunity to go through any final questions and prepare for the day.

We know every working week looks different. Whether you live in the city centre, the surrounding suburbs or work nearby, we can arrange your appointment around your commitments. Meetings at the Pier Head are designed to fit around your schedule, not interrupt it.

A dedicated client parking space is also available at Mann Island. Please let us know when booking if you would like us to reserve it.

How can our family law solicitors in Liverpool help you?

Hilton Spence Family Law Logos-01_edited.png

We advise from the early stages of separation through to the end of the divorce application, explaining what needs to happen and the decisions you'll need to make along the way.

Where finances involve several properties, companies, trusts, or overseas assets, we use our experience and expertise to work through the full picture before making decisions.

Significant wealth can bring questions around ownership, valuations, income and the treatment of different assets. We advise with both your immediate position and longer-term security in mind.

Where a business or shareholding forms part of the finances, we advise on its value, income and place within the wider settlement, including interests in businesses across the UK or overseas.

We advise on how property, savings, investments, pensions, businesses, and other assets may be divided, negotiate where possible and represent you in court where needed.

We help you understand pension values, how they fit into the overall financial settlement and the options for dividing them, including when specialist pension advice may be needed.

We help parents agree where children will live, how their time will be shared and other important decisions, including applying to court where agreement cannot be reached.

We advise on child maintenance, school fees and other financial arrangements, including where family finances or income are more complex.

We prepare and advise on agreements covering property, businesses, inherited assets, family wealth and other financial matters.

Choosing a lawyer for a family matter is personal. You may be discussing your marriage, children, home, business or financial future, so having the time to explain the full picture matters.

Hilton Spence Family Law is a boutique firm focused exclusively on private family law. We regularly advise on financial matters involving businesses, investments, pensions, property, inherited wealth or overseas assets.

You'll work directly with Laura and her team throughout. Where other professional advice is needed, we can also bring in trusted accountants, pension advisers, property valuers and financial advisers suited to the circumstances of your case.

Our clients come from Liverpool, the Wirral, Cheshire, North Wales and further afield. The Liverpool Office gives those who prefer to meet in the city the option of doing so privately, whether for an initial consultation, an ongoing family law matter or preparation before court.
